সুরা বাক্বারা আয়াত ৯ঃ ধোকা দিতে চায় আল্লাহ্‌ তা'আলা ও ইমানদারদেরকে এবং প্রকৃতপক্ষে, তারা ধোকা দিচ্ছে না, কিন্তু নিজেদের আত্মাকেই এবং তাদের অনুভূতি নেই।

টীকাঃ আল্লাহ্‌ তা'আলা এ থেকে পবিত্র যে, তাকে কেউ ধোকা দিতে পারবে। তিনি সব রহস্য ও গোপনীয় বিষয় সম্পর্কে পূর্ণ অবহিত। (আয়াতের) অর্থ হচ্ছে- মুনাফিকরা নিজেদের ধারণায়, আল্লাহ্‌ তা'আলাকে প্রতারিত করতে চায়; অথবা এ যে, 'আল্লাহ্‌কে প্রতারিত করতে চায়' মানে 'তাঁর রাসূলকে প্রতারিত করতে চায়'। কেননা, তিনি (দঃ) তাঁরই প্রতিনিধি। আর আল্লাহ্‌ তা'আলা আপন হাবীব (সাল্লাল্লাহু তা'আলা আলায়হি ওয়াসাল্লাম)-কে খোদায়ী রহস্যাবলীর জ্ঞান দান করেছেন। তিনি (দঃ) এসব মুনাফিকের গোপনকৃত 'কুফর' সম্পর্কে অবগত এবং মুসলমানগণও তাঁর (দঃ) সংবাদদানের ফলে (সে সম্পর্কে) অবগত। কাজেই, ঐ সব বে-দ্বীনের প্রতারণা না খোদার সাথে কার্যকর, না তাঁর রসূলের সাথে, না মুমিনের সাথে; বরং তারা প্রকৃতপক্ষে নিজেদেরই প্রতারিত করছে।
